  • Thoughts on godliness

I have had a few thoughts simmering in my mind this Easter on the difference between spirituality and godliness. At first glance these terms appear at least alike if not synonymous and both indicate a belief or acknowledgement of a God or higher power which informs behaviours and activities of some kind.

  • Do I want to be a strong Christian woman?

What does it mean to be a strong Christian woman? Sometimes I have mixed feelings and mixed responses and understandings about this.

  • A word in season

The beginning of 2019 has brought some change and a lot of reflection around the plans I have for the year and what I would like to achieve. I spent some time setting up New Year’s resolutions that targeted some of the areas I kind of struggled in last year including my health and in maintaining margin in my schedule.

  • Transparency made clear

I have recently been reflecting on a biblical character called Hosea. Hosea was a prophet in the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the 8th Century BC.

  • Life in focus

Focus is a very important thing. We know we need to keep our eye on the prize to achieve goals. I have been finding in life, as adults, we have a lot of different balls that we’re juggling.

  • A Clear Calling

I have recently been reflecting on a biblical character called Hosea. Hosea was a prophet in the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the 8th Century BC. Lots of prophets, particularly in the Old Testament, have gotten the raw end of the stick because God sent them to proclaim messages of judgement to His people.

  • Moving into new territory

Stepping into new territory takes a heck of a lot of courage. As if we are walking onto a freshly frozen lake we are cautious. Testing. We think we may have heard from God, the still small whisper of the Holy Spirit and we’ve become a touch uncomfortable. This word is still new, we’re mulling, praying, seeking a bit more confirmation.

  • Do you want to receive healing?

About six weeks ago my closet door came slightly off its hinges when I was moving some boxes around. I collected the tiny screws on my nightstand for safekeeping so I could fix it right up. I have looked in my closet, often stared actually, trying to decide what to wear every single day over the last six weeks.
