  • Evangelism and sport

Over the 18 years I developed Australia's sports ministry from 1982-2000 – known then as the Sports and Leisure Ministry and since 2005 as Sports Chaplaincy Australia, in parallel with the chaplaincy to top sport, so too I encouraged Christian athletes.

  • One example - Japan

Some time ago Dr. Mordechai Kedar had an interesting article published translated from Hebrew into English and recently published on the nationalistic attitudes of Japanese culture that has witnessed the lack of any Islamic influence in Japan.

  • The issue of innocence

Last month I read of another miscarriage of justice where a man who had been in prison for 30 years was exonerated – viz DNA.

  • Airport dilemma

How many times are we told that airport security is no laughing matter, and yet constantly we learn of accounts where, very stupidly, someone jokes about a bomb in their possession. Recently, unbelievably, it happens all too often.

  • Home - second option for some youth

Several recent Australian surveys have shown that young people are choosing to stay at home longer than their parents ever did; or they return back home to save money. Although necessary, there is also a degree of the disagreeable to both.

  • Youth Ministry - Finding a job

Youth Ministry today is assisting young people, another voice of wisdom if you like, in finding a job.

  • Heartache -  Tronson du Coudray

Dr Mark Tronson was the Australian cricket team chaplain for 17 years and when he relocated to Tweed Heads on December 2005 he initiated a season of professional art (painting under his historic family name – Tronson du Coudray).

  • Men do matter

Men are back in the social mores news. Men do matter. From my archives I retrieved the article from the Sydney Morning Herald – a published review of Dr Helen Smith’s then new book, Men on Strike: Why Men are Boycotting Marriage, Fatherhood and the American Dream – And Why it Matters and what it contains will be like lighting a bushfire to ready sets of ears.

  • A big deal  -  Best Articles

The Press Service International young writer program in conjunction with Christian Today has a major awards feature at its annual conference, that of Best Articles of each young writer.

  • Fame and the public

How many times have we heard that a celebrity from the cinema, entertainment and sports, who made small fortunes then went bust.
