Bethesda Softworks on August 4 announced the open beta version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends card game. It is the first ever game of the company to be rolled out on the open beta format for downloads. The game is a free-to-play card game that has been compared to Blizzard's best-seller 'Hearthstone'.
The company made the announcement at QuakeCon, an annual event which kicked off this week.
To play the open beta version, which is currently limited to PC, users need to download and install Bethesda's launcher (Bethesda.net). The game developers also point potential players to its website, where the gamers will find a series of articles, tricks and tips to get the game started, making decks, and becoming an expert with game's numerous technicalities.
Bethesda is also planning to launch Android, iOS, and Mac versions. So far, the company has not stated whether the beta test will be further expanded to any of those platforms ahead of the full game's release later this year.
In June, it was announced that the game would be offered beyond the iOS and PC platforms, while in the initial stages of development.
