Chinese smartphone company, Meizu, is set to hold a press event scheduled for August 10, during which the company is expected to announce its latest smartphone 'Meizu M1E'.
However, just a few days ago, images of what appeared to be the upcoming phone were leaked, revealing a device looking much alike the company's earlier launched phone, Meizu MX6.
In the leaked photos, most of the specifications of the phone were visible, including Mediatek MT 6755 Soc (Helio P10), 1080p curved display of 5.5 inch, 3GB RAM, dual camera with 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 3100 mAh battery, and Flyme OS 5.2.1, which is based on Android Lollipop version 5.1.1.
The leaked images displayed two devices, which also indicates that it might be possible the company is planning to release two models of the phone under the banner of 'Meizu E'.
The devices are expected to be mid-range smartphones, consisting of a higher end smartphone CPU, Exynos 8890 CPU, which is a powerful addition to the device.
Meizu has been using Snapdragon processors for its mobile devices but due to a series of controversies related to patents, the company decided to drop it them June. In the current devices, the company has replaced Snapdragon with Exynos 8890.
So far, all these inputs are based on rumors, as the company has made no official announcement as of yet. But the leaked images are in fact the upcoming handsets, then the Meizu E devices will become a tough competitor with similar specs as the Xiaomi Redmi Pro.
