Japanese game company, Nintendo, filed a patent application that appears to confirm previous rumors suggesting NX will have detachable controllers on the device.
The patent application was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (via NeoGAF) in January and was then published on August 11. The company has presented a removable controller, which can connect to the side of a portable gaming gadget.
In the device, the company has replaced the electric signal system with an infrared camera that reads player's button presses and sends information to the device.
According to a user of NeoGAF, the controller is just a plastic outer with the camera/software performing all the work, which eliminates the requirement for any electrical gears, and significantly lowering the price of the gadget.
So far, Nintendo has not commented about the new NX.
Nintendo NX is the company's next console, which is reportedly scheduled to be launched in March next year. The gaming device is buzzed to be a hand-held gadget that can also connect to the television set by means of a dock.
