Fadeke Omideyi is leading an on-site prayer ministry for the duration of the Olympics, a room has been made available for use as the prayer headquarters (16 prayer warriors 24/7) at the "Bridging the Gap, UK Outreach 2012" headquarters, at the Kingsway International Christian Centre situated in the Olympic hub.
What led me to partner with LWFCI and Dr Sam Mings
My late husband, Apostle Ayo Omideyi, Founder and former General Overseer of the Church (passed away 29/9/211) prayed for a worldwide revival throughout his ministry. We have continued with the legacy he left us for the church to pray for the outbreak of a world-wide revival as promised by God. When we heard about LWFCI, Dr Sam Mings and UK "Bridging the Gap UK Outreach 2012", their mission of soul-winning mirrored our vision for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit in revival for this country and so we offered our hand of fellowship and partnership for soul-winning.
The Olympics Outreach
We have offered our church premises as the Prayer headquarters for UK "Bridging the Gap, UK Outreach 2012". The Prayer Warriors will be accommodated on the Church premises, offering them 24 hours access to the church and chapels for constant prayers. Throughout the entire programme, prayers which will underpin the outreach will be offered daily from this "House of Prayers for all nations." Our members are also looking forward to participating in the daily evangelism alongside the LWFCI missionaries. Together, we will win London for Christ. The United Kingdom must be won back to Christ; we have been praying for this for years, and we are believing and trusting God to move in power.
My Background
Fadeke Omideyi said, "I was born into a strong Anglican family. In my Anglican days, my late father, Hector Omooba was a wonderful role model. When I moved to a Pentecostal church I felt I could fulfil my own ministry and my husband encouraged me in this as he was a remarkable role model for Christian leadership. These were two extraordinary men of God who moulded my Christian service. My mother, Victoria Omooba, remains my role model of a virtuous Christian wife and mother. Her Christian principles which I imbibed were pillars that held and made a success of my marriage. I thank God for her life. Their legacies live on for the furtherance of God's work in my life.
My Christian development
In 1980, through my late husband, I came to know the Lord as my personal Saviour. He was my spiritual mentor, he taught me the undiluted Word of God, how to pray, solely relying on the Holy Spirit and by his own example, how to be a true servant of God ready as he was to do anything for God - whether it be building, plumbing, electrics or music, in addition to spiritual matters. I learned from him the importance of following Jesus if I am to please God. He also taught me not to make money my focus, but to have faith in God, trusting Him to provide for all my needs. I learned through him to teach the word of God without compromise and never to lose sight of heaven as my ultimate goal.
I qualified as Chartered Secretary in 1984 and went into full time ministry in 1985. In 1992 I was ordained as Prophetess in my local church. Since my late husband went to glory last year, I have become the Minister in Charge of the Church/Ministry (like a Chaplain to the Ministers).
My preparation for Olympic ministry
Intercessory prayer and supplication to God summed up in the words of the following hymn:
"Father let thy kingdom come
Let it come in living power
Speak at length the final word
Usher in the triumph hour
As it came in days of old
In the deepest hearts of men
When thy martyrs died for thee
Let it come, O God again!
Tyrant thrones and idol shrines,
Let them from their place be hurled
Enter on thy better reign,
Wear the crown of Thine own world
Break triumphant day of God!
Break at last our hearts to cheer
Throbbing souls and holy songs
Wait to hail thy dawning here
Empires, temples, scepters, thrones-
May they all for God be won
And, in every human heart
Father, let thy kingdom come!

My strategic thinking on evangelism
Evangelism is about
• soul-winning – winning souls held captive by the Devil. This involves a contest between 'light and 'darkness'
• soul-saving- -re-gaining souls who have back slidden or detracted from the straight and narrow way
You can only win/save the souls of those who have heard from God – those whom God has prepared. Jesus says "everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me" .(John 6:45-46)
Therefore before going out to evangelise,
• pray that you will be equipped with authority to speak God's word (Matt 10; LK 10)
• pray that God will lead you to the "right side of the boat" in order for you to cast your net over those he has prepared (John 21:6)
• pray that you will do the work which He has accomplished (John5:36)
• Pray that all obstacles in the way of salvation will be removed
• Pray that God will accompany the words you speak with demonstration of His power
My prayers and dreams for the Olympics and possibly the next Olympics (in Brazil 2016)
I pray that through this Olympics in the UK, God will show His power in a notable way as He did in Bible times; as in the days of Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel, Jesus and the Apostles. We need to see the "Finger of God" again.
We are tired of lukewarm service, religious gimmicks and spiritual deception. No more limping between various opinions; let God arise and show that He alone is God and Jesus is the WAY. We need a revival of repentance that will bear fruits of righteousness to transform our nations. May the Spirit of the Lord be out poured and His power overshadow us for such manifestations! ( Amen!)
It is the Queen's jubilee this year. Such a national spiritual reawakening would be the crowning experience of her reign and the best present she has ever received throughout her reigning years.
