32 teams will compete from all continents as the best try to win the greatest prize on offer.
The 32 teams consist of
13 European teams,
5 South American teams,
3 North American teams,
3 Asian teams,
2 Oceania teams and
6 African teams.
Realistically there are about 10 teams that could win the Cup however its anyone's game and there is always a surprise or two.
You could pick out the favourites, Brazil and Argentina will be tough to beat, and you always have your 6 or 7 European power houses such as England, Holland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal and France.
However there are some smaller nations that may surprise a few teams.
Ivory Coast have some big names and are hoping to go further then any African nation has ever been. With Drogba, Toura and Kalou, Ivory Coast may cause a few problems however they have drawn a tough group with Brazil and Portugal to play.
Slovakia are tipped to be tough to break down as they look to get 2nd only behind Italy to progress.
USA have some great talent in their side and will also look to get 2nd in their group behind England to Qualify.
Serbia also went well in qualifying without loosing a game, and with Vidic at the back and Stankovic running the show from midfield they will pose a big threat. (Australia is in this group of four along with Germany and Ghana).
The media hype is building momentum and South Africa will benefit greatly from hosting such a big tournament.
Whatever happens with results, its sure to be a fantastic four weeks of Football with the world coming together through Football. The initial pool rounds can be found at
