Christians in a church in Kaduna got an early Christmas gift from 200 Muslims as the latter provided protection during church services in commemoration of Christ's birth.
The Muslim volunteers, who were composed of mostly youth, secured the perimeter of Christ Evangelical Church in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna South to protect the church attenders from any attacks from extremist Islam groups.
According to the report by The Daily Post, the report comes from the church's leader itself, Pastor Yohanna Buru.
during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) last week.
The pastor was very pleased that the Muslims have helped secure their protection during the church's Christmas services, especially after recent terrorist attacks and other violent activities not only in Nigeria, but the entire region.
Some of these terrorist acts include kidnapping, rape, merciless killing, and slavery.
Still, Buru stated that the care showed by the 200 Muslim youth is evidence that 'peaceful co-existence' between the Christians and Muslims in the country can further by strengthened.
"I really appreciate their love and care,'' he said.
Aside from commending the effort of their Muslim brothers in Kaduna, pastor Buru also urged everyone to pray for peace in Nigeria.
