Families and relatives of AirAsia flight QZ 8501 held their hands in prayer as rough weather prevented divers from reaching the plane's fuselage.
Though the families were emotionally tired, they continued to 'surrender it all' in the hands of God as they prayed and sang on Sunday at Mawar Sharon Church, where 25% of their members were aboard the ill-fated flight.
The head of the church, Rev. Philip Montofa said to the families, "If God has called your child, allow me to say this: Your child is not to be pitied."
He told the grieving father of a passenger, "Your child is already in God's arms. One day, your family will be reunited in heaven."
Divers have been having a hard time bringing out the plane's fuselage due to zero visibility, are were unable to reach the crash site, according to the chief of Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency, enry Bambang Soelistyo, saying, "At this moment, it's impossible to send any divers."
He also said, "We'll wait until the weather gets better."
As of Sunday, 30 bodies have already been recovered, leaving 132 more believed to be in the plane's fuselage.
The international body including Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States have pledge to help the families of the passengers by forming a rescue and recovery operation which involves 20 helicopters and 27 ships. This will also aid the recovery of the black box, which contains the events before the plane had gone down.
AirAsia is the region's most popular low cost airline and has begun operations since 2001. This is the carrier's first crash though the plane, Airbus A320-200 had only 23,000 flying hours at that time.
