Singer, Naarah Seagrott, guitarist Brett Seagrott, keyboardist Joshua Brown and the other two American band members run around on stage trying not to get too wet or slip over. It's one of the many adventures Gold Coast band, Alabaster Box, won't forget while playing their latest albums title track 'We will not be silent' to at Soulfest in New Hampshire, USA.
Alabaster Box, after spending the last 3 years predominately touring the USA, is returning to Australia this October and November for its biggest Aussie tour to date. "We are very excited to be returning home for this tour, it feels long overdue for us" says Josh. Working predominately in the Christian Music Market, the band has had great radio success here in Australia with seven number one songs on 'The Rock Across Australia Charts' (TRAA).
Alabaster Box started touring Australia in 2000 and relocated to Nashville Tennessee in January of 2006. "The first six years was an amazing journey for us" says Brett. "The memories we have of breaking down and hitting Kangaroos in the van in the outback help".
This tour will be to promote their latest CD "We will not be Silent". Music lovers can expect to hear all of the band's major hits including the anthem 'We Will Not Be Silent', Fearlessly Stumble', 'There's Hope', 'New York' and 'Love On The Radio'.
The band will partner with Child Sponsorship organization, Compassion. "We have seen with our own eyes the difference that Compassion make in children's lives affected by extreme poverty," says Naarah. Much of Compassion Australia's mission coincides with the theme "We will not be silent". The album cover quotes Martin Luther King, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter".
