Fisher will join 70,000 others and run in the iconic City2Surf on August 9th. He is heading up a team of 2000 Christians participating in the race.
Andrew says for most people, the City2Surf is not a race.
"You don't have to be an athlete," he says. "It's an incredible community event.
"This year it's also about Christians from all denominations uniting, having fun, and exposing the people of NSW to Jesus and what he had to say 'about life'."
The group will wear red 'Jesus' shirts, in support of the 'Jesus. All about life' campaign.
Fisher says, "We are still looking for anyone else who wants to wear a red shirt and take part in this amazing event."
Entries must be done on-line (at www.city2surf.com.au), then contact Bible Society on (02) 98886588 for details on your free, red, 'Jesus' t-shirt to wear on the day.
Andrew has worked hard to improve his fitness and believes he's ready to tackle Heartbreak Hill.
"Being fit has certainly helped my performance on the racetrack," he says. "I work with a trainer as regularly as I can and have discovered a healthy lifestyle makes everything much easier (even though sometimes it is difficult to find the time)!
"It's going to look amazing," says Andrew, "and will have a huge impact to see so many people running and walking (but hopefully not crawling) in the name of Jesus!"
