The 5th Annual Musicoz Awards was held on Thursday 1st of December 2005, live at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong. Five finalists were nominated for the Best Christian Artist Award, including: Revive, Carter & Carter, Eric Ossebaar, and Glen Spencer & Jason Shadie. But Cox came out as the winner for this year’s award.
Angela Cox started to perform as young as eight years old around talent quests all around Australia, and soon began to attend radio interviews and signed contract to perform regularly. As she attended Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts, she also performed regularly in Sydney. At seventeen Cox once released her debut single with Sony ‘Just Another Night’, but due to lower than expected sales, it was withdrawn.
This year Cox makes her come back through the song ‘Every Time’ which won her the Musicoz award. She will be rewarded with a record production with Sony Studios. Cox tells www.therockacrossaustralia.com “I really see (Every Time) as a song from God as it came out so easily!”
SBS will air the MusicOz Awards on Saturday, 17th December.
