Apple is about to launch a selection of new devices in last quarter of 2016, with the company on track to deliver a brand new miniature tablet among other devices. It is still unconfirmed whether the device will be called the iPad Mini 5, or iPad Pro Mini, but it is widely speculated that the device will be launched on the sidelines of iPhone 7 release.
The tech giant has a number of diverse variants of the tablet including the oversized iPad Pro, the iPad Air 2, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and other two models of the iPad mini, with the 7.9-inch iPad mini 4 one of the latest devices which rolled out last September.
It is also speculated that the company will roll out an updated version of the smallest tablet.
According to what has been leaked so far, here is what we know:
Release date
Apple has a record of unveiling its new products in September, so, in this case, a new iPad mini is likely to be coming in less than 2 months. It is also possible that the product will be available by September end.
Price
As far as the cost of the new tablet is considered, it is possible that it will be launched in the present price slot only and the cost of earlier devices may get reduced. The last launched device, iPad mini 4, was rolled out at £319 for the 16GB WiFi-only model in 2015, however, the 64GB and 128GB models were at £399 and £479 in that order.
Specifications
It have been buzzed that the tech giant may create an iPad Pro in each of Apple's three display screen sizes, which are 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch.
In June, the company revealed its latest operating system iOS 10. It is likely that the new device will run on iOS 10.
Some Apple experts say that the iPad Mini 5 may come with an upgraded A9 processor, which will process faster, giving the device better gaming graphics.
The camera is rumored to be an 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.
