Olympic champion and IAAF World Indoor Championships silver medalist Sally Pearson won her 100m hurdles final in 12.72. This win follows her victory in the 100m flat event. These gave Pearson her 13th national crown and ensure her line-up in both the 100m flat and the 100m hurdles at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The highlight, for many athletics fans, was Josh Ralph's (1:46.57) victory over Alex Rowe (1:46.68) and Jeff Riseley (1:47.11) in the men's 800m.
Another highlight was Dani Samuels' (discus) performance. She ensured herself a start in Glasgow 2014. Saving her best throw (66.81m) for the final round, Samuels' throw delivered a personal best to the 25-year-old.

Athletics Australia will now nominate its initial squad of athletes to the Australian Commonwealth Games Association for ratification ahead of a media event announcing the first segment of the team this Wednesday 9 April.
