A recent report revealed that more people read the Bible at year's end.
According to Bobby Gruenewald, the pastor who is behind the YouVersion Bible App, around 50 percent more people are interested in reading the Bible during the months of December and January.
"It's really natural at Christmas time and New Year's for people to begin to think about God, oftentimes for the very first time," Gruenewald said in an interview.
According to a report by CBN News, both the Christmas and New Year holidays allow people to reflect on the previous year, and think for a moment how they managed to 'survive' it.
In some cases, people take a look back at the Christmas story of Jesus Christ getting born by a virgin, and eventually becoming the ultimate sacrifice to pay for man's sins.
In the report, most people would want to begin the year with new goals, such as reading the Bible regularly, as well becoming a better person overall.
Unfortunately, things do not go as well as previously planned.
"A lot of times, when they get into February, middle of February, if they haven't formed a really solid habit, it really does begin to drop off", said Gruenewald.
However, for people who would be able to read God's Word on a day to day basis, they will certainly reap its divine benefits, as well as the opportunity and privilege to grow in faith.
