Blizzard Entertainment's galactic struggle science fiction game series, StarCraft is expected to roll out in its remastered version in HD some time in September. The game is improved with upgraded graphics and enhanced user interface, while maintaining elements of the original gameplay fans know and love.
There is still some question over the specific changes in gameplay, whether it will have a single-player mode or multiplayer mode, or if any content will be adopted from the Brood War expansion, which is a real-time strategy game of the same series.
As per the latest announcement, it is not yet clear if "StarCraft" HD Remaster will be available in 2D or 3D.
Kotaku reported that the release date can possibly be in September, as that would coincide with when the StarCraft II World Championship Series ends. The game is most likely to be launched after the championship.
As of yet, Blizzard has not given out any statement over the game's release or about its specs and features.
StarCraft game was first launched in 1998, with the Brood War expansion released in later years. The game is a fan favorite and among one of the best known real-time-strategy games. However, such success did not compel Blizzard to roll out the game's sequel soon, and it took over a decade for the publisher to launch another part.
