Boko Haram's new leader has instructed followers to "booby-trap and blow up every church" and "kill all of those who they find from the citizens of the cross (referencing Christians)."
The Nigeria-based terror group, who has pledged allegiance to ISIS, has reportedly chosen Abu Musab al-Barnawi as their new leader who laid out the group latest plan to fight "Christianization of society", according to ISIS newspaper al-Nabaa.
Al-Barnawi, the previous spokesman of the group, said that instead of killing fellow Muslims at mosques and market places, they are now going to focus attacking the Christians of humanitarian groups.
"They exploit the condition of those who are displaced under the raging war, providing them with food and shelter and then Christianizing their children," he was reported as stating.
Al-Barnawi also announced that Boko Haram was taking in new recruits and that they "remained a force to be reckoned with."
He also termed the group's battle against West African states as a war fought by Muslims against "apostates" and "crusaders".
'Boko Haram', literally translated means 'western education is sin'. The extremist organisation purports to establish a 'pure' Islamic State ruled by sharia and has been responsible for thousands of deaths since its origin in 2002, and the kidnapping of 300 girls, many of whom still remain missing.
