They have always been like cats and dogs when it comes to work, but they always seemed to make things work by combining sheer determination, know-how, and out-of-the-box thinking.
But now that Rick Castle and his wife Kate Beckett aren't working together anymore, how will they handle it? Will they still treat each other with the respect they gave while they were partners, or will they take their competition to a whole new level in the upcoming episode of "Rick, P.I."?
"How far would Nathan Fillion or Stana Katic's characters go in an effort to get the upper hand in solving a case?" Carter Matt asked.
The website said that with Beckett still working with the New York Police Department and Castle going solo as a private investigator, the two will probably lock horns in trying to solve the case first.
"She has the advantage of manpower, whereas he can go into this without really any particular rules or guidelines that he is required to keep. In other words, he can do whatever he wants, and there is really no way at all that anyone can stop him save for if he gets caught," the site said.
TV Line also said that it is possible Castle or Beckett will use a drinking session to loosen up the lips of suspects and get their much-needed answers, but knowing the two, it will most likely be Castle employing this strategy. He will also be sneaking in to Dr. Sidney Perlmutter's office for clues, and the NYPD medical examiner won't be too happy with Castle's snooping.
Despite his promising solo career as a detective, Carter Matt said that Castle will still try to find his way back to the NYPD. "his episode is about more than just if someone can solve the case; also, another theme could be if Castle can find his way back into the police department despite the mob ties that got him booted."
