At the half way mark of the Premier League season, Chelsea go into the turn of the season with a 3 point lead after surrendering 3 points away at Southampton.
Chelsea were clearly unlucky not to be awarded a penalty however the Saints did have their fair share of play but finished with 10 men as Chelsea maintained their lead at the summit of the Premier League table.
Other fixtures saw Spurs and Manchester United play out an entertaining 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane, whilst Manchester City stayed 3 points behind Chelsea with a surprisingly dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Burnley.
Leicester gained some ground at the foot of the table with a hard fought 1-0 away win at fellow struggler's Hull City. Stoke City continued their run of good form with a 2-0 win over West Brom, moving the Midlands club up to 11th on the table whilst Arsenal maintained their push for a Champions League place with a dramatic come from behind 2-1 win at local derby West Ham's Upton Park.
Newcastle heaped more misery on Everton, with a 3-2 win at St James's Park, whilst there were 2 scoreless draws, Villa at home to Sunderland & the Local derby between QPR & Manageress, Crystal Palace.
The traditional Boxing Day fixtures were played in terrible conditions as much of the UK was blanketed in Snow. Chelsea had a comfortable home win in their local derby with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool had a much needed win, with a 1-0 win away at struggling Burnley. Southampton kept their truly amazing form going with a 3-1 away win in London at Crystal Palace to keep them in 4th position whilst Stoke City had an impressive away victory on Merseyside, with a 1-0 win at Everton.
Spurs won away 2-1 at Leicester meanwhile Manchester United were too strong at home to Newcastle, with a 3-1 victory. Hull won a tense affair away at Sunderland to move them out of the bottom 3 with a 3-1 win whilst Swansea won 1-0 at home to struggling Aston Villa.
Manchester City were too strong away at West Brom in the midlands with a 3-1 win and to round off the fixtures, the Gunners were too good at home to QPR, winning 2-1 to maintain their recent form.
