

Chelsea stamped their authority on the Premier League this week with another impressive and solid display, to defeat West Brom at Stamford Bridge in front of an expectant crowd. Chelsea are now 7 points clear of Southampton (who have a game in hand).
More importantly, Chelsea are 8 points clear of Manchester City. Costa continued his amazing run of form, scoring yet another gaol to increase his tally to 11 goals, only 1 now behind Aguero. Chelsea were dominant throughout and Hazard doubled Chelsea's advantage on the 25th minute to maintain their fantastic start to the season!!
Manchester United travelled to London on Saturday to take on old rivals Arsenal at the Emirates in front of a packed house. This was a must win game for both teams as they have suffered indifferent starts to their campaigns and are both well below where they were expecting to be at this time in the season. The match had chances but United slowly started taking control of the match and were rewarded through an own goal after half time to take the lead.
Their second half dominance saw United double their lead through an impressive move as Rooney took his chance! The gunners scored in injury time to make the score line 2-1 however it was too little too late, as United now move into 4th position and into a Champions League position. For Arsenal, the defeat leaves them languishing in 8th position and in desperate need of some favourable results.
Manchester City kept the pressure on Chelsea with a 2-1 win over a gallant Swansea side. City had to come from behind after Bony scored a splendid goal, however City came home to strong and scored 2 late finish's to ensure their home record maintained and lifted the pressure on the team.
Saturday's other matches saw Everton continue their impressive form with a 2-1 win at home to inform West Ham. Newcastle had a 1-0 win at home to QPR, taking the Toon army to fifth on the table, turning around a miraculous change of fortunes.
Burnley had only their second win of the season, with a 2-1 win away at Stoke City to take them off the foot of the table whilst Leicester and Sunderland played out a scoreless draw.
Sunday mounted pressure on Liverpool as they slumped to yet another defeat, this time at the hands of an energised Crystal Palace in London. Palace were hungry and scored a few sublimed finishes to ensure the pressure mounted on Rodgers as Palace ran out 3-1 winners.
Spurs got back to winning ways, at the expense of Hull in the north of England.
