Teenage Christian rock star Krystal Meyers will be going on an international tour again this year by taking her live shows to Hong Kong and Guatemala.
Meyers, 19, will perform back-to-back nights in Guatemala Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, prior to her journey to Hong Kong for her Dec. 5 concert. The teen star's worldwide album sales exceed 250,000.
Since debuting with her self-titled album via Essential Records at the age of 16, Meyers has often described as "The Christian Avril Lavigne," based on her sound and style. The teen has also become a sensation in Japan, having toured the country several times last year. Her single "Anticonformity" hit No. 1 in Japan, beating Red Hot Chili Peppers from the top slot.
The teenager released her second album, Dying for a Heart, the year after her first. Her third album is expected to be released in June 2008.
In other news, Meyers recently received a Gospel Music Channel Video Award nomination for her music video accompanying "Hallelujah" in the Contemporary video category. The first-ever Gospel Music Channel Video Awards winners will be announced on-air during the special "Hot List: Viewers' Choice 2007" on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 7:00 p.m. EST. Voting ends Sunday, Dec. 2.
