Security has been heightened in Britain after analysts at the SITE intelligence group revealed that London is among the list of cities that ISIS wants to target next.
The terror group reportedly released images on the messaging app Telegram of the capital and other major world cities. One of the images were of the Statue of Liberty in New York along with the words 'Washington soon', Daily Mail reported.
The police have cautioned Britain's Christians, fearing that ISIS may target church following the attack in France in which an 84-years-old priest was executed by Islamists who slit his throat as he was leading prayers.
Security has since been increased in 47,000 churches across the country. In the UK, there are and estimated 5.4 million church members.
According to counter-terror police in Britain, they had 'circulated specific advice' to places of worship to take necessary precaution.
"Following recent events in France, we are reiterating our protective security advice to Christian places of worship and have circulated specific advice today. We are also taking this opportunity to remind them to review their security arrangements as a precaution," said Neil Basu, Deputy Assistant Commissioner.
"This is part of our ongoing work with faith organizations, as well as other sectors, to help ensure the safety and security of their staff, visitors and members."
He also added that there is no specific intelligence relating to attacks against the Christian community in the UK.
After the church in a suburb of Rouen in northern France was attacked, patrols at schools and synagogues were increased at UK in areas with a high Jewish population.
