It was reported by the AAP, that climate change took centre stage while the Senator Campbell became the Environment Minister where he said that 'realism' had been injected into the debate over the past few months.
"I think that we've had a lot more realism brought into the debate over the past few months," said Senator Campbell, which was reported by the AAP. "The huge challenge, and it's becoming a cliche to say it, is to get climate change policy right."
The issue of climate change and the consequences of it, has also gain prominence among Australian Christians. Jim Wallace, the Managing Director, wrote in the Alive magazine column of the devastation that climate change will have on the most vulnerable in the community.
"One of the particularly distressing aspects of climate change is the concern that the consequences will be felt most heavily by those least able to bear it," Mr. Wallace wrote. "Developing countries, which already struggle with the burdens of poverty, corruption, and natural disasters, are likely to bear the brunt of climate change."
