“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah chapter 41, verse 10)
This past season of my life showed me how dependable Yahweh is. He reminds me everyday that he will never leave me alone. He has been my strength, my shield and my defense.
Provider:
In June of 2021 I started my 3rd year of medical school. I had no idea how I was going to pay my portion of my fee. I knew God did, therefore, I prayed for divine favour and financial breakthrough. Throughout the year I watched as God supplied every need I had.
I kept reflecting on how everything happened at the right time. I am forever grateful for every time God provided for me when I was most in need. It is an awesome feeling to know that I am not alone when I face difficulties. God has never failed me, and I know He never will.
Protector and defense:
Oftentimes we disregard God’s mercy and how He protects us in our everyday lives. We take for granted the fact that everything is done according to his will; It is because of his grace and tender mercy that we can wake up each day and live our lives.
God is always protecting us; we would be amazed to see the many fiery darts of Satan that He has protected us from. As children of Yahweh we do not have to be afraid because God is forever watching over us. He has angels encamped roundabout us in our going out and coming in.
There is a story in 2 Kings chapter 6 which speaks of the prophet Elisha and his servant being surrounded by the Aramean army with chariots and horses. The servant was terrified, but Elisha brought him comfort. Elisha prayed that Yahweh would open the eyes of his servant. The LORD opened the servant’s eyes and when he looked he saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. They were protected by the army of heaven, there was no need to fear.
Just as God sent His angels to protect Elisha and his friend, He will protect us as well. For greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Whenever you feel afraid, just remember you are not alone, you have the strongest army on your side.
Comforter and Strength:
We all need comfort and strength as we navigate this life. During this past season of my life Abba showed forth as my comfort and strength. I lost two family members very dear to me, I was sick to a point where I felt this is it, but through it all God gave me his peace. He gave me comfort and reassurance that I can get through the toughest of storms.
Are you going through a rough patch? Do you feel as if you have lost all the drive and energy to serve God?
Well, you do not have to do this alone, there is a God (Yahweh) who you can depend on no matter what you are facing. Every word He speaks is life and truth. In Matthew chapter 11, verses 28-30 Jesus said “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Yahweh will always be with you no matter what you go through in life. He will always be there to guide you. He is a dependable God and so much more.
