Dr Ken Ngangan is a highly respected senior lecturer in accounting at the University of Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby. He is a development finance and audit specialist who designs accountability and audit mechanisms for both the corporate and government arenas.
His area of expertise has centered on constructing legitimate structures within Papua New Guinea education and law and justice systems, and to undertake this work he has travelled the world.
Ken was one of the Papua New Guinea delegates at the recent Baptist World Alliance Living Water Australasian-South Pacific conference held in Cairns, where he gave a video testimony for Australian Missionary News IPTV.

Ken Ngangan's father was a Baptist pastor who was one of the early converts to Christian belief, when he was a lad growing up in the Enga province, under the influence of the missionaries.
"I grew up in a very Christian atmosphere, the prayers over my life were legion; but it was only in 2003 that I gave my life to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my personal Lord and Saviour," Dr Ken Ngangan explained to Mark Tronson of the Australian Missionary News IPTV.
Dr Ken Ngangan said his so called Christian life prior to that decision in Aberdeen Scotland was a pretense. He stated that he really thought he was 'OK', that his father's Salvation through Grace was sufficient for him too.
"I had this idea that the Grace God offered to my father also covered me through His acceptance of Jesus as his personal Saviour. I finally realised I needed to make my own decision and come clean to the Lord," Dr Ken Ngangan noted.
In these past few years Dr Ken Ngangan has become focused on serving the Lord. He was elected as a deacon to the Boroko Baptist Church, the largest evangelical congregation in Port Moresby, and last year was elected as the Chairman.
"I recall that in my heart during that Aberdeen Baptist Church service, I had to make a decision. It is as clear as clear in my mind's eye, I said to myself, 'It's now or never' and praise the Lord for the decision that was made," Dr Ken Ngangan mused.
