With the London Olympics just one month away. Olympic Ministry Award Receiptent Mark Tronson, the chairman of Well-Being Australia is writing a weekly series of articles leading up to this world gala event which encapsulates the nations of the world in sport, politics, economics, culture, benevolency and religion.
Dr Mings continued: "We will seek to encourage the Churches of the UK - and continue to focus on maximising this opportunity for ministry via the platform of the Christian Athletes and the Team Members coming together from around the world during the Olympics and it is so very gratifying to know God has blessed mightily our previous 'seven' (7) outreaches during the Summer Games".
His heart exclaims that one day "possibly the Lord will have everyone from every Denomination focusing on evangelistic opportunities. The Lord has called us to what we are about and for 35 years we have been obedient and He has been faithful.
"May the Lord mightily bless our efforts with the 'UK Men & Women of God' who have stepped forward and orchestrated by the Holy Spirit to join with Lay Witnesses for Christ International. Together united in His agape love we are coming arm on arm as servants unto those whom His Spirit has directed their involvement.
"Certainly the UK will be abuzz with ministry, however because of the hindsight of our senior ministry personnel during the past '7' Olympics, our 'Bridging the Gap 2012 UK Outreach' team members will be daily directed to specific planned ministry.
"Thereby not being side tracked by the atmosphere but cognizant of the throngs of media enhancing multiplication of their ministry gifts ' literally throughout the world as banner headline news – some even in on Christian nations..
Dr Mings continued: "We are believing the Lord to once again 'mightily move in our midst '. We will not be caught up with what others are doing - but solely on lifting up the Name of Jesus!
"May the high profile outreaches far exceed our very first telecast in 1984 which was catapulted to the world by Dutch Television during our Evening with the Olympians entitled titled 'More than Gold'.
"Since the success of our very first 'More than Gold' telecast, we have completed multitudes of outreaches throughout the world referred to as 'More than Gold' Rallies. It was a great blessing to be invited by the leading churches in Atlanta to conduct the first 'More than Gold' press conference. (photographs available upon request).
Concluding Dr Mings stated: "Looking back in awe of all He has done and believing for even greater miracles during the London Olympics."
Many London churches have made their facilities available for these outreaches. To learn more of this London Olympic outreach: www.laywitnesses.com/olympic-outreach
