The Duck Dynasty family showed their charitable spirit by giving a house to a family friend in need this Christmas during the episode "A Home for the Holidays."
Phil Robertson, the show's 68-year-old patriarch said that they will be giving the house to a family they go to church with - the Lewis family. "Loving God and loving your neighbour are the two greatest commandments in the Bible. Really that's what Christmas is all about. It's a good feeling," he said in the episode.
His son Willie shared that their families have been friends for 40 years. "I thought we could be the secret Santa and get a special gift for a special person," Willie said.
The touching episode showed Phil saying a welcome prayer as Mrs. Lewis entered her new home.
"I must have died and went to heaven," Mrs. Lewis said in tears.
The gesture of kindness was so moving that Phil himself was brought to tears. "Father we just give you a great big thank you," he said in prayer.
"Father as you know probably, I don't cry that much," he said. "We love you father and we know you love us. Help us to love you more Father each day as we love each other so all will see that we are one. Thank you for the rest of this day. In Jesus name I pray, amen."
