Creation
In the beginning Yahweh created the heavens and the earth and everything that dwell therein. God created man and had direct fellowship with him. When man sinned there was separation from that direct presence and one on one fellowship with God. But Yahweh in his wisdom and compassion, grace and mercy looked beyond our sins and had a plan of redemption.
The selfless Lamb
Jesus is the selfless lamb that taketh the sins of the world. Think about it, Jesus agreed to leave his splendor and majesty in heaven, to come into this world in the flesh, only to be martyred for our sins. Isaiah 53 verse 5 says but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus went through all this agony so that we could be redeemed. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isaiah chapter 53 verse 7.
Free access
It is recorded in Matthew chapter 27 verse 51 that when Jesus died the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. To me that signified that we now have free access to God the father, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. There is no more separation, I do not need an earthly Priest to talk to God on my behalf, because my High Priest Jesus Christ opened the way for me. I now have full fellowship with God, I can always be in his presence because his spirit now lives in me. Oh, what joy! Glory to the LORD most high. I am now qualified to draw nigh to God through Jesus Christ.
Come and dwell
Jesus died for the whole world, his sacrifice was not for one nation, but for all. We are all welcomed in the fold of God, his arms are wide open. It doesn't matter who we are, or what we have done, Jesus paid for us. All we must do is confess our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and walk in liberty and according to his commands.
It's all in our hands now, we can either choose righteousness or not. I pray that we will choose righteousness and eternal life that Jesus offers while we still have time. John chapter 14 verse 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus Christ is our redeemer and he is the only way.
These two verses sum up the everlasting love that Elohim has for this world: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.” John chapter 3 verses 16-17.
Just thinking about this is so overwhelming, the fact that the Most High sent his only son to pay the penalty for us all is incredible. Jesus died to set us free, Oh what matchless love!
