With the filming for the eighth installment of the action-packed franchise drawing to a close, members of the cast are as excited as fans for the big release. In fact, the team posed for a photo that was later uploaded on the movie's official Facebook page, along with a letter of gratitude to the actors and fans.
Furthermore, the post had some big news mingled in: the first trailer of this much-anticipated movie is due for a December release. Yahoo News reports that the movie's premiere is all set for the April 14 next year.
The plotline for the upcoming movie will reportedly include the "epic" prison break scene that fans have been talking about for ages. Yibada tells us that contrary to popular belief, Hobbs, and not Ian Shaw, will be the one busting out of prison. This news was verified by a post that The Rock added on one of his social media accounts. The snippet, blatantly captioned 'Hobbs prison breakout,' apparently revealed the character in the middle of making his way out of the correctional facility, surrounded by guards and inmates.
Vin Diesel let go a few spoilers as well. A photo shared by the star showed his on-screen avatar in a secretive conversation with another unknown character to be played by Helen Mirren. Although not much is known about the role she portrays, speculations suggest that Mirren's character isn't going to be a part of the famous car chases.
There's one more bit of good news sourced from Comingsoon. A video showed Hobbs dancing in front of a group of soccer girls. This has given rise to rumors that he ends up coaching soccer, and becomes a soccer mom. We'll have to wait until the teaser's release to see if there's any truth to these reports.
