Mark Schultz, the real life subject of the Oscar-buzzed film about an Olympic wrestler angrily takes to social media during the holidays to slam the film's director, Bennet Miller.
Schultz, portrayed by Channing Tatum in the film, referred to Miller as a "pussy," "punk," and "liar" going as far as to say that Miller's legacy as a director will be ruined by Foxcatcher.
His strange reaction on Twitter came after movie critics speculated that the wrestler may have had a homoerotic relationship with John du Pont, which Schultz obviously found offensive. In the film, du Pont, an eccentric millionaire and athletic patron is played by Steve Carell who killed Schultz's brother, David who was played by Mark Ruffalo.
Evidently, Schultz blames these implications on the director by virtue of his Schultz's portrayal as an inarticulate meathead, emotional fragile and insecure.
Last December 20, he posted this message on Twitter:
"#Foxcatcher couldn't have portrayed me more inaccurately if they tried."
Prior to the gay speculations posted by critics who have seen the film, Schultz, now working as a life coach supported the movie.
