A funeral of a policeman in New York has been attended by tens of thousands of other officers coming from all over the country.
The funeral of NYPD officer Rafael Ramos, who was shot while on duty by a man who was looking to avenge black men who are discriminated against by police, is now considered one of the most decorated funerals in New York's Police Department history after some 25,000 officers from other states came to pay their respects.
According to the report by Charisma News, the delegation of police officers came from cities such as Boston, Atlanta, St. Louis and New Orleans.
However, it looked like most of the officers were protesting against New York mayor Bill de Blasio when he gave his eulogy for Ramos.
For several months, police officers all over the United States have been the object of protests claiming they are discriminating against other races. De Blasio is one of the government officials who have been supporting these protests against police officers all over the US.
However, Vice President Joe Biden, who was also present in the funeral at Christ Tabernacle Church, encouraged police officers to unite and prove the protests and accusations wrong about discrimination by the police departments.
"I believe that this great police force of this incredibly diverse city can and will show the nation how to bridge any divide", said Biden.
