Maisie Williams plays tough girl Arya Stark in the HBO hit TV series Game of Thrones, and in real life, the 17-year-old actress is just as tough, especially when it comes to cyber-bullying.
In an interview with The Guardian, Williams shared that she is a victim of cyber-bullying herself, especially when she launched to fame because of GoT.
"There are creepy things that people say online that I shouldn't have to read," she said. "But there are bigger things going on in other countries."
Williams has since then deleted someof her social media accounts, saying she does not need it to find acceptance or happiness.
"Why do I need to hear what other people think of me? I'm happy," she said. "Those years are such a strange, strange time, because you're just constantly trying to do the right thing and be liked. Or just go under the radar and fit in. And before you know it, you're being attacked by everyone and it's really scary."
Williams is set to play a teenage girl help captive by a computer hacker in a new drama called Cyber Bully. The hacker threatens to expose inappropriate photos if she does not do everything he wants.
