Microsoft has released a Windows 10 Anniversary Update SDK, build 14393 along with Visual Studio 2015 Update 3.
To install the tool, users will need Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise, with build 14388 or above. The Corresponding Software Development kit (SDK), will enable the developers to build applications that use the newest components of the operating system.
In the official blog of Microsoft, while mentioning the Desktop Bridge, Kevin Gallo, Corporate Vice President of Windows Developer wrote that the developers "using the modern deployment technology of UWP, desktop apps can cleanly install, uninstall and update, as well as get full access to UWP APIs including Live Tiles, roaming storage, push notifications and more."
He also mentioned that he has travelled the world to get to know the needs of thousands of developers.
Targeting the Windows 10 Anniversary Update SDK, the Dev Center and Windows Store will start accepting submissions of apps built for PCs, phones and HoloLens.
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update SDK will deliver improvements to Windows Ink, Cortana APIs, Windows Hello and others.
"While we build the pipeline into the Windows Store to publish these apps, our team will work directly with developers to get their converted apps and games into the Windows Store," Gallo stated.
