From the 3rd to the 7th July 2006, Sydney will be buzzing with Christians worldwide streaming into the Hillsong Conference this year with well known Christians including Pastor Rick Warren coming to address this historic and landmark conference, which marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of Hillsong Church by Senior Pastor Brian and Bobbie Houston.
Senior Pastor Brian Houston reminisced about the founding of the Hillsong Church stating: “The last 20 years, (we) had been witnessed to an incredible journey. From humble beginnings, the conference has grown in stature and dynamic, and has impacted multiplied thousands of leaders and believers from all across the earth. The vision and heartbeat has never changed.”
Pastor Houston continued saying that although a lot had changed but the purpose of the conference would be the same now and forever stating: “This gathering exists to 'champion the cause of the local church' and to make our Creator's fame known across the earth.”
Clearly excited about the conference, Pastor Houston promises every ‘individual would have a great experience’ due to the ‘magnificent wisdom from many of the world's finest leaders, magnificent worship which will ascend into the heavens and bring His glory to earth, and magnificent inspiration and perspective that will enable participants to make a difference in our world.’
To be the light to this world the participants need to be equipped and the conference workshops aims to ‘inspire, encourage, imparts vision and practical skills’ to the participants who would be the next generation of ‘spirit-filled leaders who are driven by the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ.’

Moving In The Spirit: If the participants want to know God more and step into a new realm of revelation and understanding of how to move more freely as the Spirit leads, come to this elective.
Biblical Studies: It is as powerful and life-changing today as it has ever been. But how do we approach this wonderful book and how do we apply its truths to our lives in the twenty-first century? The answer will be given in the workshop.
Key Business: This year some of Australia's leading Christian business people are coming to speak at the key business faculty. They are highly successful individuals who are totally committed to the Kingdom of God.
Children’s Pastors and Leader: This elective will provide participants with creative concepts and ideas that will inspire children and complement everything that happens within their church.
Youth Pastors and Leaders: Join the Hillsong Youth ministry team and special guests as we share strategies to passionately reach out to this generation, raise up leaders and shape the future of the Church.
