Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the HPN KIDS PRAYER CALENDAR, created by HPN's San Jose's chapter director Terri Renfro.
HPN is a grassroots non-profit organization that mobilizes global prayer for the world's most influential workplace, the Hollywood entertainment industry.
The popularity of the HPN KIDS PRAYER CALENDAR and the insight it gives into Hollywood proves that fear of the media can be overcome and stereotypes broken down.
People around the world are downloading a copy of the KIDS PRAYER CALENDAR by clicking on www.hollywoodprayernetwork.org/kids-prayer-calendar.
Every month there are 15 new names of stars of movies, TV shows and music groups for whom they can pray.
"More and more people are contacting us at HPN by email or telephone and telling us how they love praying with their families, their friends and their youth groups. Kids are excited to get more involved with the films and TV shows that they watch by praying for the actors. It has become a new, active way to engage in today's culture," says Karen Covell, Founding Director of HPN.
HPN now reaches thousands of Christians around the world to increase prayer for people in the entertainment industry. HPN has inside stories proving that the Kids Prayer Calendar, their 90028 wristbands, remote prayer stickers and monthly prayer emails are making a positive difference in our nation's media.
