After much speculation it has been confirmed that Quinn is going to return to season 6 of the political-thriller Homeland. But at what capacity is still unclear.
The last episode of season 5 left the fans guessing the fate of Peter Quinn, played by Rupert Friend, after being exposed to poisonous gases by the terrorists, and ultimately suffering a debilitating stroke.
CIA agent Carrie Mathison, portrayed by Claire Danes, enters Quinn's hospital room alone at the end and closes the door behind her. She then removes Quinn's pulse monitor and places it on her own finger.
"Quinn is alive- I can say that much," revealed Showrunner Alex Gansa on TCA according to Hollywoodlife.
"But we want to be really careful about what his condition is. He suffered a major stroke last season, so he is a very changed and altered Quinn this year."
He also teased earlier that the character Quinn will be "dramatized" in the upcoming season in a way that will "surprise" viewers.
"It may not be what you think," he said.
It is also being said Quinn will be "more willing to show his intimate and personal side" and Carrie is dubbed to be "in a very specific place" in the upcoming season.
Love may blossom among these two characters following the touching letter he left for Carrie in the season 6 finale.
This season will also see a different President, played by Elizabeth Marvel.
"She's a little bit Hilary, a little bit Donald Trump, a little bit of Bernie Sanders," revealed Gansa.
The new episodes will start filming from next week in New York.
