"This is fine" dog was originally designed as a comic by K.C. Green in 2013, which has since been used to express the fierce kind of anxiety you feel when you're surrounded by chaos that you know all will end in disaster. Yet, you still try to make yourself calm and convince that everything is going to work out just fine.
Many identified with the comic and thus, the "This is fine" dog quickly became an internet meme for reacting to all sorts of news ranging from entertainment to politics to personal catastrophes like sitting in wreckage of your own making or completely missing a deadline.
Almost three years later, a campaign started selling 13 inch plush version of dog, as well as stickers, magnets, and playhouses.
The campaign has raised over $220,000 within a day of launching, far exceeding their original target of $35,000. Head over to the campaign's page and make a pledge to get your own plush dog.
The original comic features the dog sipping coffee while the world around him erupts into flames. K.C. Green brought the dog back to life recently, after the Republican National Convention used the meme to make fun of the Democratic National Convention.
Although, the memes were all the rage almost three years ago, it seems sipping coffee and keeping calm in a world of chaos has become more relevant than ever before.
