This post Easter season - is a time to pause, reflect and engage once more with the glorious mystery of Jesus' death on the cross.
When ritual can often become religious…
When Jesus is just a guy on a cross…
When tiredness means we debate whether we should just sleep in on Good Friday and/or Easter Sunday morning…
When we switch off reading or listening to the cries from the cross…
This is the time to examine our soul. Is it well with your soul?
Other religions can often bear much resemblance in how one can obtain salvation, yet a major difference to Christianity remains.
Jesus lived, He died, He rose again…for us.
God decided to send His Son to this earth to die for us.
To allow us to live forever.
Without condemnation. Fear of death. For the weight of our past life to hold us back.
We are the next chapter. We are followers of "The Way, The Truth and The Life."
Bringing love, joy and peace to those around us. Let us stand up for those who no one stands up for. Let us stand up for those who grieve, mourn, are the alien in our midst. Let us love who Jesus would have loved. The rich, the powerful, and the mighty, seem to do alright without our help.
We live now to be Jesus on earth for those around us. We can live with confidence in what He now does through us.
It is well with my soul. Thank you Jesus.
