Talking to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Kate McCann said that though there were 'dark moments' of doubts about her belief in God; but nevertheless these moments were short-lived and instead she turned to Him and asked for His help to find Madeline.
Speaking to the BBC's religious program, Mrs McCann told the interviewer that the abduction of her daughter, Madeline McCann, led her to question herself such as: "Why do this to Madeleine? Why have you let this happen?"
Even though these doubts exist, she said it was not God who had done this, but rather it was someone else.
Meanwhile grim news awaited the McCann parents, with a Portuguese chief saying: "They were now sure Madeleine died on May 3, just days before her fourth birthday," reported News.com.au.
Recently 100 days have passed since Madeline's disappearance, with both parents attending a special church service in Praia da Luz. Sky News reported that the readings, hymns and prayers were all especially chosen with the theme of children in mind.
