The 34 year old has had a celebrated career of 16 years in the top grade. In that time Kimmorley played for New South Wales 10 times, Australia 20 times, won one NRL premiership and played for 6 different NRL teams – including the forgotten Hunter Mariners.
In all Kimmorley played 305 games in the NRL. He is a legend of the game but will be remembered for his leadership role in every team he's played in.
Kimmorley is revered in the game and is set to make as strong an impact in his coaching role as he did on the field.
At a time when the game is in desperate need for role models Kimmorley has not let the NRL down. He has always acted with the highest of integrity and if he can raise his players up to be like him, not only will he be a successful coach but the game as a whole will be better off.
