Some men prefer having eternally long locks, but Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington is not one of them.
Harrington, who plays one of the lead characters Jon Snow recently told Metro that he now regrets entering into a contract with HBO that requires him to keep his hair long for the duration of the hit TV show, saying that he "screwed himself over."
Co-star Natalie Dormer has jokingly called Harrington an "idiot" for getting into that contract, since she and other female cast simply wear wigs for the show.
"I don't want the bother of it all really. If you look a certain way or you have a certain look it dominates what people think you are. So I'll cut it off quite soon. As soon as I'm allowed," he said.
But it seems like Harrington will be forced to keep his long locks for a longer period of time, since Game of Thrones has just been renewed for two further seasons – five and six. Unless, of course, his character suddenly gets killed off, just like many other characters before him.
