|PIC1|This was the story of a young man who had suffered from infantile arthritis for five years. Since his childhood, his parents had tried every medical treatment to little effect, and as a teenager at high school with the normal hormonal changes, he felt that medical intervention was to no avail and life was not worth living.
"God intervened in my life, I fell upon my knees beside that dormitory bed and I surrendered my young life to Jesus Christ, I gave my heart to the Lord," Andrew Kwimeri explained.
It was the best decision of his life, Andrew Kwimeri went on to explain, it was as if he was given a fresh start in life and he went on to university to become a lawyer.
Andrew Kwimeri was one of the Papua New Guinea delegates at the recent Baptist World Alliance Living Water Australasian – South Pacific conference held in Cairns where he gave a video testimony for Australian Missionary News IPTV.

In his video testimony Andrew Kwimeri said: "That decision to follow Jesus changed my world view, my life style and it gave me the capacities to make something of my life, and moreover, I was completely healed from that childhood disease."
"I love my country, Papua New Guinea, and I want to be part of building and helping this nation, and contribute to the training of Christian leaders for the benefit of its people," Andrew Kwimera told Mark Tronson.
Having trained as a lawyer and having served in the Law for some years, Andrew Kwimeri turned his attention to training for the Christian ministry and is now the Minister at Murata Baptist Church in Port Moresby.
"One very enjoyable activity I engage in is mentoring in both the legal profession and in Christian leadership. I have found that young graduates are very open to learning leadership skills on a one-to-one basis," Andrew Kwimeri explained.
