A new era of community support of art was initiated in July 2008 when Well-Being Australia chairman Mark Tronson, a Baptist minister of 32 years, sought their support for a fund raising exhibition.
"The basis of the presentation to the managers at Mantra on the Sea Resort was that Well-Being Australia's Art Ministry performed three community services," M V Tronson explained.
First the Art Ministry is philosophical in nature: art speaks to patrons in ways that words alone cannot; and Tronson du Coudray's specialty is art that creates reflection.
Second, the Art Ministry includes a benevolent factor because Well-Being Australia utilises art in its ministry to youth, illustrating that beauty and the creative heart are valid in a world where confusion often reigns. This factor can be publicised during an exhibition.
Third, the art that Tronson du Coudray donates serves as a fund raiser for Well-Being Australia's community activities.
"We have a broad range of art on display for these Mantra on the Sea Resort exhibitions, including major works such as 'Petals' a works of imagery that is interpreted by the beholder," M V Tronson noted.
Tronson du Coudray's art agent, Helen Loveridge, has recently become an art director of a major Alice Springs gallery and is promoting his art as 'the missionary painter'.
The missionary painter is in fact Mark Tronson himself who has taken his family's historic name for his stage name, Tronson du Coudray.
