Mark Driscoll is headed towards a different future after the huge Mars Hill Church scandal, this time with a website project.
The famous pastor, once described by Forbes as "one of the nation's most prominent and celebrated pastors", has launched the site Markdriscoll.org. It will act as an online portal that contains Driscoll's work - from his sermons to his blog posts and current ministry work.
Visitors can access blog posts as well as an occasional free e-book on the site. There's a "Give" page for anyone interested in donating a tax-deductible monetary gift which will be used to "helps us host and distribute Pastor Mark Driscoll's past and future Bible teaching and resources", according to the site.
The North Dakota-born Driscoll, who was raised as a Roman Catholic and claimed he grew up in a rough part of Washington state where infamous serial killer Ted Bundy picked up his victims, is no stranger to controversy.
He resigned as the head pastor of megachurch Mars Hill last October. Many questioned the church's work, including Driscoll's leadership methods.
Driscoll has also been accused of manipulating sales number to get one of his books, "Real Marriage", on the New York Times bestseller list. This was allegedly achieved by buying over 10,000 copies of the using using $210,000 of Mars Hill Church's funds.
