If you want to see Adam Levine from Maroon 5 or Taylor Swift live in concert, you better be prepared to shell out the big bucks.
Their ticket prices came in second and third place in the list of top-priced tours of 2015, trumped only by Fleetwood Mac since the band averaged $307.38 tickets, according to Pop Dust.
"Pop juggernauts Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift will see the second and third most expensive tour averages in 2015, respectively. At $279.42, Maroon 5 tickets on the band's V Tour are 6.3% more expensive than Taylor Swift tickets on the 1989 Tour, which average at $262.85," the website reported.
Maroon 5 will go on a US tour this February to promote their V album. Their song "Animals" has been one of the band's most controversial songs since its music video, which starred Levine's wife Behati Prinsloo, featured a stalker who later wins over his victim. Women's group slammed the video for its misconception about stalking.
However, the Inquistr reported that the video also generated some surprising support. PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, even defended the video for its portrayal of the "horrors" of the meat packing world.
The two musical bigwigs on the secondary market are followed by One Direction, Iggy Azalea and newcomers 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor.
Pop Dust reported that 5SOS, Grande and Trainor will all embark on their first-ever headlining tours, and despite their newbie status, the demand for their concert tickets are expected to remain high since all three artists catapulted to the top of the charts last year.
"While radio stations gave such pop artists massive exposure in 2014, the secondary market is still hot for more established acts, including U2, Bob Seger and The Who," said Pop Dust.
U2 tickets to the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE World Tour average at $256.93, while The Who Turns 50! Tour's final stretch of North American dates averaged around $250.59.
The Foo Fighters are also included in the list, with tickets for 34 dates ranging at $164.12.
