With over a hundred of local churches participating in both cities, Johnson alerted Christian Today Australia to the fact that some people mentioned it was never as easy to talk about Jesus as it was during the airing of campaign. In Adelaide, 230 local churches participated in the campaign, while in Canberra 160 local churches signed up to it.
The thrust of the campaign, which was the local ad buy during prime-time, was funded by the local committee, said Johnson. It was up to the local churches to make disciples of those who were interested and to communicate with them on a one-to-one basis in the consideration of their faith.
Johnson strongly emphasised it was up to the local church community to decide whether to first accept and then proceed with the 'Jesus All About Life' campaign. He said he was very hopeful that the local churches in Perth might agree to launch the campaign next month.
'Jesus. All about life' is an initiative of Bible Society NSW and it ran successfully in Adelaide and Canberra. Currently it is being launched in Tasmania.
