The nominees are in for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, with MercyMe and Natalie Grant contending for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Crowder for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.
MercyMe was nominated for the album Welcome to the New under the Fair Trade label, while Natalie Grant's Hurricane album under Curb Records was nominated for the same category.
Other contenders for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album include the self-titled Royal Tailor album under the Essential Records label, Francesca Battistelli for her album If We're Honest under the Fervent/Word/Curb label, For King & Country for their album Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong. also under the Fervent/Word/Curb label.
Meanwhile, Crowder received a Grammy nod for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for his "Come As You Are" song. He is competing against Francesca Battistelli's "Write Your Story", MercyMe's "Shake", Needtobreathe's "Multiplied", and Lecrae featuring For King & Country for their song "Messengers."
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 8, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will be televised by CBS.
