As Principal of Morling Cillege (NSW Baptist Seminary) I am able to report with good news - our new Ministry and Learning Centre (MALC) is open.
Much of Morling has been relocated into the first three floors of the MALC and we are excited about what God has provided. We welcome you to visit this new site which is a result of your collaborative support and encouragement.
MALC's auditorium commercial rates will not apply to our Baptist brother and sisters in Christ, so if you think they may be suitable for one of your church events, please get in touch.
You may have heard that Morling and Vose Seminary (formerly the Baptist Theological College of Western Australia) are in conversation about ministry together. This could lead us to carry out the work of training and equipping students in a much more effective way.
In particular, we wish to work together in tertiary education, vocational training and unaccredited courses for equipping and training churches and their congregations for life, discipleship and ministry. A wonderful God-given opportunity in doing this at a national level, which is consistent with our Baptist evangelical heritage.
I know many feel that 2020 will be a key year in the life of our denomination to break new grounds in our ministry together. This is all part of the vision that went to our Assembly in 2006 and has been unanimously adopted. The MALC and Morling Residential College have been designed simply to serve the Sydney region, NSW, ACT and beyond.
The new MALC will be formally open at our annual Assembly meeting. You will then see the harmony that has been the development of the co-location of the ministry centre and BFS with Morling. Together in Ministry!
Are you aware
As you are aware, we offer flexible study options - on campus, online, summer intensives and our popular Evening Classes. We are now enrolling for all courses in Semester 1, in particular, our Evening Classes which would be suitable for your church members who would like to deepen their understanding of the Bible but can't fit in full-time study.
Evening classes are available on campus at the new MALC. If that works for your church, I'd encourage you to share our Evening Class video at your Sunday service.
We would also love to come to your church service, young adults’ group or wherever you think is best for us to share the word about Morling in a deputation. If you haven't done so, you may book a church visit using the link below or email us.
