The concept behind the seven wackiest weapons in Monster Hunter Generation was revealed between producer, Shintaro Kojima and Director Yasunori Ichinose with Kit and Krysta from Nintendo.
In a conversation Kit and Krysta got more details about the seven much-talked about weapons of the game at Comic Con, San Diego.
"Experience the most dynamic Monster Hunter experience yet! Take on the role of a fledgling monster hunter and face down larger than life beasts as you journey to become the ultimate hunter. Along your journey you'll defend each of the game's four villages from new major threats—the Fated Four - powerful new monsters that have emerged," reads the game description from Nintendo.
Glavenus, Astalos, Gammoth, Mizutsune are the new four flagship monsters of the game. To combat these strong monsters, Capcom introduced seven never seen before weapons which may look unusual, but are deadly. All of the weapon are designs have been inspired by food.
The Gouda Axe or the good axe, depicts a gourd cheese, the Pizzaxe, as the name suggests, looks like a pizza, and the team actually made a pizza shape of the weapon to get the design right.
Then comes the Lobster Gun, a weapon which shoots from its mouth, the Airship Hammer is the fourth weapon. The Kettleblower has a feline inside the kettle which is inspired by a Japanese folktale and the sixth one being the Springnight Shot, which is a fish and was one of the hardest designs to come up with, according to the team.
Last but not least, there is the Cornpopper, a gun in the shape of a huge corn which works fantastically.
Glide style, Ariel style, Striker style and Adept styles can be use to battle the monsters in the game.
The company suggested the players to take up the help of friends while trying the games' toughest challenges.
