Before everyone gets too distracted in the madness of what film won what for what show, don't forget that a New Year also means, new big screen offerings.

Chris Hemsworth stars in Michael Mann's first film in 6 years with Blackhat, where he plays a computer genuus. The movie opens on January 16 alongside the final installment to the Liam Neeson thriller, Taken 3.
In February, Jupiter Ascending opens on the 6th, and the much awaited Fifty Shades of Grey finally premieres on February 13th. The sequel to the comedy, Hot Tub Time Machine also opens.
Festival favorite, While We're Young starring Naomi Watts and Ben Stiller opens on March 27, but not before Disney's Cinderella opens on the 14th and the sequel to Divergent, Insurgent, opens on the 20th.
April sees the arrival of Paul Walker's final film before his tragic passing, the wildly successful Fast and the Furious franchise, Furious 7.
In May, Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron hits the theaters on the first, as will Pitch Perfect 2 on the 15th and An untitled Cameron Crowe movie on May 29.
June ushers in another TV to big screen leap with the film, Entourage opening on the 5th. Jurassic World starring Chris Pratt opens on June 12.
In July, Judd Apatow teams up with comedienne Amy Schumer for Trainwreck, which opens on July 18. The sequel to Magic Mike premieres on July 1st and Marvel's latest offering, Ant-Man arrives in theatres on the 24th.
Diablo Cody pens a film starring Meryl Streep, Ricki and the Flash, opens on August 7 as will The Fantastic Four reboot.
September welcomes the new Maze Runner sequel entitled The Scorch Trials opening on September 18.
October opens a new Spielberg film premised on the Cold War, arriving in theaters on October 16.
November sees Charlie Brown and the gang back on the big screen with The Peanuts Movie on November 6th and the final installment of the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.
Finally, December sees the year's most anticipated film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18 and Mission: Impossible 5.
